Approved Driving Instructor Courses – Step 2 course
Overview
Step 2 focuses on the instructional ability test Part 3 test, moving you from being a skilled driver to a confident teacher. Through one-to-one on-road training and flexible online study, you’ll develop the coaching and communication skills needed to pass your final qualifying stage.

The total fee for the Step 2 Course is £2995 inc. VAT
This covers all your online and on-road training, and you can pay in interest-free instalments to suit you.
Please note that DVSA test fees are paid separately and are not included in this price.
What does the course involve?
Step 2 is all about getting you ready for the Part 3 Instructional Ability test. We focus on building your teaching skills and practical experience, covering essential areas such as risk management, lesson planning, and teaching strategies. This course is designed to prepare you for the final part of the qualification process, giving you the skills and knowledge to confidently pass your final test.
Course duration
Totalling 45 hours, this course includes 13 hours of online tutor-led learning, and 32 hours of one-to-one on-road training.
