Overview
Level 1 Award In Awareness of Safeguarding
This qualification is suitable for all persons and will provide an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults at risk. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, record a disclosure and report to the appropriate person.
Some local authorities require that you pass a safeguarding course in order to be licensed to drive a Hackney Carriage or Private Hire vehicle. As part of our Equal Opportunities Policy, we are committed to ensuring that there is no discrimination in the provision of our services. A reasonable adjustment can be given to someone who has a disability, medical condition or learning need that may affect them during the course, test or assessment. However, due to the nature of some of our services, a candidate must have the literacy skills to be able to read and understand any course, test or assessment material and any additional resources related to it.
Amending or cancelling your assessment or test
You can easily amend or cancel your course or test once it has been booked. Please call us on 0330 111 7230 or email taxi@greenpenny.co.uk to do this. Please ensure you give enough notice to amend or cancel – you must give at least 4 clear working days notice so that you don’t lose your fee (working days = Monday to Friday, not including bank holidays. 4 clear working days, does not include the day you inform us you would like to cancel or the date of the course or test).
If you have already attended the full course, or part of the course, then no cancellation or change of date is possible and no refund will be due. If you fail to attend a course or test on the date you have booked, or you arrive late, no refund or date change will be available.
