You will gain:
- A clear understanding of the Standards Check format, assessment criteria, and scoring system.
- Guidance on preparing fully for the test, from lesson planning to managing the day itself.
- An overview of the DVSA’s updated standard operating procedures post-COVID.
- Insight into what examiners are looking for from both you and your pupil, including briefings, lesson structure, and debriefs.
- Discussion of the most common reasons ADIs fail to demonstrate key competencies and how to avoid these pitfalls.
- Practical advice on sustaining your teaching quality to support future checks.
Interactive Learning
This session is designed to be highly interactive, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, discuss concerns, and share experiences with fellow instructors. Real-life examples and scenarios will be explored to help you recognise strengths and areas for improvement in your own teaching approach.

A reasonable adjustment can be given to someone who has a disability, medical condition or learning need that may affect them during the course, test or assessment. You can easily amend or cancel your course once it has been booked. Please call us on 0330 111 7230 or email info@greenpenny.co.uk to do this.
